Angela Mini JO uses raising in her work. Raising is a technique used to make forms from a flat sheet of metal through hammering. In sharp contrast to the process which can be loud and aggressive, the final pieces are calm and still and the vigor, volatility and energy involved in creation becomes barely perceptible.
The work is in the collection of Jin-Muk Gallery, China.
